The eyes have it

I have a subconjunctival haemorrhage in my right eye. Never had one before and they're weird. You wake up one morning not aware of anything different, until you look in the mirror and discover you've swapped one of your eyes with an extra from 28 Days Later. The fine folk of NHS Direct assure me it's nothing to worry about and will fade within a couple of weeks.

It's much nicer having these sorts of things when you have a lovely wife to worry about you.

  1. i've never had one of those, but i can see no downside.
no practical disability, plenty of attention, lots of jokes and sympathy from your wife/girlfriend/friend/family/pet.

  2. No time off work could be considered a downside ... except that if I was off work I would probably be off looking at screens in general, and that would be a disadvantage. And indeed, yes, everyone is all heart about it, possibly except stepsons.
